Casa Node Update - May 1, 2019
Update: Casa Node software is no longer maintained; we recommend looking at other build-your-own node projects.
The main feature we're releasing today is a switch that allows you to view your balances in bitcoin or satoshis (sats). As Lightning Network usage has grown, there's been an increasing desire to value transactions in sats (1 sat is equivalent to 0.00000001 BTC).
We've previously added a BTC/Sats switch to the Casa Extension, and we're excited to bring this feature to the Casa Node.
When you flip the switch, the setting will be saved to your node and will persist through future logins.
- Fixed a bug that broke Tippin.me invoices—you can once again tip your friend 1000 sats, and now you don't have to feel like a cheapskate because you're typing 0.00001 BTC!
- Fixed a rare bug where the Bitcoin Node would fail to start up and users saw an error message referencing "split". It was weird, we fixed it, all good.
- Made some under-the-hood adjustments to prepare for future releases, which will allow us to give users more info about what their Bitcoin Node is up to as it boots up.
